Step 1: Locate your text
Check the Master List to see which Cantos mention your assigned locations. Perform a close reading.
Step 2: Pin the location
Search for the real-world location on the map and drop a pin.
Step 3: Write your analysis
Write a 300-word analytical entry connecting the location to Dante’s text.
Guiding Questions
- Where are the characters physically standing?
- Who is speaking and what is the narrative context?
- Why does Dante mention this place? What is its symbolic value?
